ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Department of Computer Sc. & Engg. was started in Regional Campus, Ladhewali Jalandhar in 1992 . The department has well qualified faculty along with other facilities like computer labs, library and other labs necessary for students.
COURSE OFFERED
B.Tech.(Computer Sc. & Engg.), 8 semesters course is being run in this campus. Students are admitted in this course through Combined Entrance Test(CET) conducted by Punjab Technical University every year.

Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Admission to the course will be on the basis of merit of the candidates in CET conducted by Punjab Technical University every year.
Fee Structure: 65000/- annually (approximately)

PLACEMENT INFORMATION
Students of the department are fully involved in placement activities being run in Guru Nanak Dev University Main Campus, Amritsar. Students get good placements every year. Last year, students got placed in TCS, ACCENTURE, HCL and other reputed companies.
CO-CURRICULUR ACTIVITIES
1. Students' Technical Committee 'SPIRIT' organizes technical events in the department/campus annually. Recently, Technical Festival (Techfest) 'INSIGNIA' was organized by the students of the department of Computer Sc. & Engg. and Electronics & Communication Engg. in the month of September in 2009
2. Zonal Youth Festival was organized in the campus in 2009 in which students of the department took part enthusiastically. |
